We've been brewing since 1838. With over 181 years’ experience under our belts, we offer first class facilities, capable of brewing and packaging to the highest standards, coupled with a level of support and care that you only get from a truly independent, family run business.
We have invested heavily in a new, modernised brewing plant, which includes a 2.5m hopnik (one of the world’s largest), to enhance the flavours and aromas of the brewing process.
We also have advanced facilities at our Unicorn Packaging Centre (UPC) to receive beer ‘ready to bottle’ or straight from fermentation for cold conditioning, processing, filtration and carbonation.
In fact, we offer the full service - contract brewing, cask racking, petainer filling, kegging, packaging, and of course bottling. We package beer brewed in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and Italy and despatch worldwide, including to the USA and Australia.
We pride ourselves on our ability to cater not only for the larger volume products but especially for 'niche' products that require very close attention and care. We are passionate about quality - our A grade BRC accreditation provides our customers with reassurance of our impeccable standards.
Based at Stockport, some seven miles South of Manchester, we are at the heart of Britain's motorway system. Ideally situated, both brewery and packaging plants are within 1/2 mile of the motorway (M60, Manchester orbital), giving easy access to trunk motorway networks across the North, South, East and West.
