A little more about us
Named after the famous British Naval Officer, a contemporary of Admiral Horatio Nelson, the Admiral Rodney offers you a warm and hearty welcome. The Admiral Rodney is a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Prestbury Village. It nestles amongst a delightful row of shops just before you reach the village centre.
As you step into the Rodney it is as if you are stepping back in time, no juke box or pool tables, the atmosphere, the decor and the courteous service will all remind you of a bygone era. In fact, visitors and regulars alike have gathered around a pint in the Rodney since the early 18th Century.
The Admiral Rodney is steeped in history and is full of period features from its low ceilings to its panelled walls. It is open all day every day and serves traditional pub food every lunchtime.
Over the years it has won the Robinsons best kept cellar award and currently is a Cask Marque member and a Robinson Gold Award Winning pub proud to serve 3 cask ales at all times. There is also a courtyard garden for the summer months where you can sit and watch the world go by.
