On the High Street, close to the centre of Glossop, with its large architectural windows, the Oakwood brings a bit of big city style to Glossop. At the heart of the local arts scene it hosts an ever-changing mix of live musicians alongside serving great food, craft beers, spirits, cocktails and cask ales.

Beer gardenAt the Oakwood we pride ourselves on serving quality ales and great food in a relaxed environment, but we still like to kick it up a notch at weekends! We've got a rotating range of craft beers on offer but if you fancy something a bit different please ask at the bar and we will help you choose your perfect new beer! We love our dogs and your dogs too! Wagging tails are encouraged throughout our pub, so don't leave your well behaved four-legged friend at home! Important info: Tables inside the pub can be reserved for food or just drinks. All tables throughout the pub are available for walk-ins. Usually after 9pm it’s very easy to grab a table. Before this time, we advise booking, especially if you would like to eat with us. Please note there is a time limit on the tables inside, please ensure you let us know how long you would like the table for (up to a max of 3 hrs). If you’re eating, we advise booking for a min of two hrs just in case our kitchen is busy. We don’t want you to feel rushed. If you would like to stay longer, we will do all we can to accommodate this where possible. The garden is no longer available to book. The garden is now walk-ins only on a first come first served basis (unless you had a booking prior to 5th August). If you book a table inside and would like to move outside we will do our best to accommodate this when and if there is a free table. Dogs are welcome inside and out, please ensure they stay close to your table. Children are welcome, please ensure they stay seated. We’re trying our best to ensure we’re COVID safe: - Our staff will have visors or masks on - There are sanitiser points at our entrance point and by the toilets - It is table service only throughout the venue to ensure everyone remains seated as much as possible - Everyone must have a chair and the chairs are spaced out in-line with gov guidelines - All tables and chairs are sanitised after every use and high touch areas such as doors are either propped open as much as possible or sanitised on a regular basis - All hygiene procedures for staff have been increased
