The Globe is a traditional pub situated on a corner near the historic market square in the small but busy town of Ulverston, Cumbria. The Globe is Dickensian in style, it oozes atmosphere and character with its panelled walls, stone floors and wooden beams.

A little more about us

There are numerous places of historical significance to visit in Ulverston. It's the birthplace of Stan Laurel: of the Quaker movement. The Paris Church was founded in 1111 AD and has a Tudor tower. Ulverston is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is now home to one of Europe's largest Buddhist communities. A single bar serves the main trading room with a small pool area to the rear. There is an attractive walled beer garden to the rear, an ideal location to enjoy the warm summer evenings. Situated on the main A590 between Newby Bridge and Barrow in Furness. Ulverston festivals attracts participants and visitors from around the world.
