A little more about us

A day out on Walney should always include a visit to The Crown. The pub was originally built in 1865 and sits on Walney Island which is a small sliver of land that lies in the Irish sea next to Barrow in Furness. Historically this was where the ship workers lived, and it's connected to the mainland by the Jubilee Bridge which was originally named Walney Bridge when it opened in 1908. It is a great destination food pub that’s worth a visit.
