The Anchor is a popular local, which is situated just on the main A6 at the end of the main shopping areas. A very traditional public house which is open all day every day and is an ideal place to visit when shopping or socialising locally.

Beer gardenBar Snacks are available during most lunchtimes and these are freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. The beer garden is a hidden gem tucked away at the side of the building but is furnished and planted for maximum effect. Road-side parking is available for those who wish to drive to the Anchor, but local busses are often and plentiful. There is parking behind the pub and a tidy enclosed beer garden for when the sun is out.
