The Navigation is a historic Public House dating from around 1790. It is a family friendly pub located just outside the centre of the thriving town of Marple, located close to fantastic walks along the canal side and offers a large range of well-kept ales, lagers & spirits.

Beer gardenMuch awaited food has now been re-introduced featuring some proper pub classics, supporting well-known local suppliers. Function rooms upstairs are perfect for a private meeting right through to a large family celebration. It's also the perfect location for walkers and indeed an early supper before the cinema. The Navigation aims to put back the Public in Public House. It started by serving the 'navvy's' or Navigation Engineers that built the Peak Forest Navigation, known today as the Peak Forest Canal, part of the Cheshire ring.

We are proud to serve Robinsons beers alongside a tempting selection of old and new world wines, that complement our pub restaurant menu. For a pre or post meal ‘relaxer’ you will be glad to hear that the Navigation also offers the world’s choice of spirits, with prosecco and gin a speciality.
